Common questions

The mic button doesn't seem to do anything.

Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone on your iPhone and make sure TranslateGo is allowed.

I get "device is not registered" when I tap the mic.

This happens if the first-launch attestation step didn't complete. Force-quit the app and relaunch. If it persists, go to Settings → Reset all data in the app, then relaunch — this triggers a fresh attestation.

The translation is wrong / cuts off.

Speech translation is automated and works best with clear audio, distinct sentences, and supported languages. Try moving to a quieter location and speaking in shorter chunks. If you still see consistent issues, please email us with the language pair you were using.

I hit the daily limit too quickly.

The free tier is 10 minutes per device per day. The timer counts only while you're actively recording — pausing between sentences doesn't burn it. If you want unlimited, TranslateGo Pro is on the way; we'll announce it in-app.

Will my translations sync to my other iPhone?

Not in v1. History is stored only on the device you used. iCloud sync is on the roadmap.
